@saudi_airlines, Saudi Arabia's national flag carrier, has recently unveiled a fresh brand identity encompassing a new emblem, aircraft exterior design, and cabin crew attire. This comprehensive rebranding, which encompasses all aspects of SAUDIA's offerings, marks the commencement of a "new era for SAUDIA". The airline's new visual identity is defined by a blend of green, blue, and sand shades, emblematic of its aspirations to expand its fleet and global destinations, fostering enhanced connectivity with Saudi Arabia. Beyond the visual elements, SAUDIA is introducing a novel fragrance and sound identity, accompanied by a locally inspired culinary experience for its in-flight services. Simultaneously, SAUDIA has embarked on a digital transformation journey, with plans to fully implement a generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) virtual assistant by year-end, designed to cater to passenger information and travel needs. The airline's revamped aircraft exterior features white, green, and blue stripes symbolizing progress and change, along with a redesigned tail adorned in green, displaying the new logo. Cabin crew and ground staff uniforms have also been refreshed, boasting a palette of purple, beige, gold, and royal blue. On 21st September 1969, Mexicana @boeing 727-64 XA-SEJ crashed shortly before landing at Mexico City International Airport, killing all 27 people on board. The flight was operating a domestic service from Mexico City to Acapulco. As the aircraft approached the airport in poor visibility, the crew descended below the minimum safe altitude and the Boeing 727 impacted a swamp 1.5km northeast of the runway. An investigation was unable to determine the exact cause, but likely factors included pilot error and the challenging weather conditions during the non-precision approach. It remains one of the deadliest accidents involving the Boeing 727. This heartbreaking incident serves as a somber reminder of the importance of aviation safety. Let's honor their memory by ensuring aviation remains one of the safest modes of transportation. #boeing #boeing727 #Mexico #Mexicana #ThrowbackThursday #AviationSafety #aviationgeeks #avgeeks #TBT #throwbackthursday
