Etihad and Air France-KLM to further enhance collaboration

ABU DHABI: Etihad Airways and Air France-KLM group are exploring options to further enhance their codeshare agreement and other collaborations. The codeshare between this trio was started in 2012.

Later this week, both parties are expected to sign a memorandum of understanding. (MoU). The new initiative will focus on exploring collaboration to further enhance the passenger experience, loyalty benefits, human resource development, and aircraft maintenance.

Through this new interline collaboration, as a first step, passengers will be able to book more than 40 new destinations for the winter season of 2023. The new destinations are across the Middle East, Asia-Pacific, Europe and Australia.

The MoU also proposes to enable passengers flying through codeshare to earn & redeem miles on Flying Blue or Etihad Guest. The passengers will also be able to access executive lounges of airlines available in multiple airports worldwide.

Air France-KLM, echoed the benefit of network expansion that the agreement will bring. This 11-year collaboration is now expanding even further, as we aim to explore opportunities in aircraft maintenance and loyalty, in addition to enhancing our route network for the benefit of our customers from all around the world,
