Emirates Airline announced on Thursday, 27th August that it will be resuming flights to Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) Bangkok, Thailand from 1st September. The airline will operate a daily service to the Thai capital.
Starting 1st September, The first flight EK384 will depart from Dubai at 01:50 and arrive in Bangkok at 11:30. Whereas, the return flight EK385 will depart from Bangkok at 03:25 and land in Dubai at 06:35 on 2nd September.
All times mentioned above are local times.
The rotation of the flight in Thailand takes over 24 hours due to the extended time period on the ground in Bangkok. Therefore, the airline will require 2 aircraft to operate daily flights.
The flights between Dubai and Bangkok will be operated by the Boeing 777-300 ER aircraft. The airline will be offering seats to the passengers in First, Business and Economy class.

Convenience for travellers:
The resumption of the daily flights to Bangkok will expand the airline’s route network to a total of 78 destinations in September 2020. This will offer greater convenience to the passengers who want to travel. Emirates is currently offering flights to destinations in Europe, Asia, the Middle East and the Asia Pacific.
The passengers will have convenient connections via Dubai to the popular destination in Thailand, the airline mentioned on Thursday.
All the passengers travelling back to Dubai from Bangkok will be able to enjoy the Chauffer service and avail the Emirates Lounge facility at Dubai Airport, with all the health and safety measures in place.
The airline is also confident that it will be able to resume full operations by the mid of 2021 which will reflect the route network from the mid of year 2019.
Booking and Travel Restrictions:
Customers can now directly book the flights from the airline’s website or through travel agents. The passengers are subject to all restrictions set by the Thailand authorities.
The passengers are required to carry a negative PCR test report which is mandatory for all inbound and transiting passengers including UAE Citizens, Residents and those with a tourist visa irrespective of the country of origin.
Safety measures by the Airline:
Emirates Airline has implemented extensive COVID-19 safety measures at every step of the journey for its passengers. This includes the distribution of complimentary hygiene kits which consists of masks, gloves, hand sanitizer and antibacterial wipes to all customers who are travelling with any Emirates flight.
The airline also announced last month that it will be covering all COVID-19 related medical expenses for its travellers. This will ensure a safe and sound experience to the customers and that too free of cost. This will provide complete insurance to the passengers in a move to gain the customer’s confidence in travelling during the COVID-19 period.
Should a customer be diagnosed with COVID19 during their travel while they are away from home. This facility of medical cover is already effective since the announcement effective for customers flying on Emirates until 31 October 2020. It is valid for 31 days from the date of departure the first sector of the journey.
