A Delta Airlines flight DL1076 en-route to New York’s LaGuardia Airport from West Palms Airport sustained damage midflight. Pilots reported a problem with the navigational equipment and made an emergency landing at JFK Airport safely. The average flight time of this flight is 2 hours and 20 minutes.

No injuries were reported.










According to the authorities, the aircraft sustained damage to its nose which was noticeable after it landed at JFK. However, as per the news channels, the reason for the damage is said to be hailstorm. But FAA is still investigating the main cause of the damage.

The airline operates this flight daily with an Airbus A319-114 aircraft. The aircraft that was used on this flight on 6th July, Monday was also an Airbus A319-114 with registration N342NB. The age of the aircraft that suffered damage is 18.1 years old and it is flying with Delta Airlines since 2010.
